THE ZEN
PROJECT
BRIEF: The Zen Project (TZP) is a social enterprise, offering a range of wellbeing event services and mental health support. Their mission is to offer a mobile sanctuary, bringing the benefits of their Zen Sessions (a range of simple activities to improve mental health) to all from a fleet of converted American school buses. I was lucky enough to join TZP during the festival season in 2021. My brief was to attract festival goers into the ‘Zen Zone’ and for volunteers to be easily identifiable.
CHALLENGE: My designs had to be sturdy and durable to take on whatever festival elements it came into contact with, heavy rain or a full pint. They also had to be transportable and easy to clean. TZP intended to use them interchangeably at other festivals and community days.
SOLUTION: With chalkboards and paint pens, I created vibrant lettering pieces. These pieces acted as advertisement for the TZP area around the festival and points of information within the area. I also created badges, stickers, and temporary tattoos
for volunteers.
